"What about me? I have feelings too, you know?" Words can mean a lot to someone, especially when they are repeated. They make you question how you think, how you operate, and most of all, how you see yourself. It makes you wonder how you fit in to this puzzle of the world, and it makes you second guess everything. A single word, can really change how everything revolves around you, when you have nobody to fall back on. At 16 years of age, Thalia has never truly understood what it feels like to be included. Inclusion is not something that people did and immediately thought of her. People looked at her, and decided to walk around her, or to purposely go out of their way to not pick her. Even teachers turned a blind eye on the girl that was truly suffering. People never understood the full weight of their words. Actions were something you could dismiss, but it was the words that hit their target, every time. They hit her in the school hallways, and they took full force when she walked in through the front door of her house. It was a house, something with four walls and people in it, but never a home. Nothing that said people of a family lived there. Those people that made a family, had one of their own. They had a family, that did not extend to the young girl that was their step-sister. They made it clear, they were step-siblings, and not siblings. Growing up, it became 16 against 1. Older sisters are supposed to share their clothes with their younger sisters and prepare them for what was awaiting for them. Older brothers were supposed to protect the younger ones and tease them from time to time. But these people, simply preferred to hold the title, rather than to act. Only one day, that would all change. It would all change, but was it for the better? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Started: 3.10.22 Revised: 17.02.26 Finished:

He thought he was saving her. He was handing her to the wolves. Ten years ago, the eldest Sokolov brother made a desperate choice to protect his baby sister from the bloodbath of a mafia war. He paid her mother a fortune to take her far away and keep her safe, believing that a mother would do everything for their child. It was a secret he kept from his five brothers-a promise of protection that was supposed to be her salvation. But the money wasn't enough to buy a mother's love. Instead of safety, their sister was sold to the highest bidder-discarded into an abusive household where she spent a decade surviving a nightmare her brothers never knew existed. Now, ten years later, the truth has surfaced, and the girl they traded away has been found. She isn't the innocent child they remember. She is a hollowed-out survivor who looks at her brothers not as heroes, but as the men who paid for her disappearance. The Sokolov circle is finally whole again, but as the six brothers move to burn the world down for what was done to her, they must face the most brutal truth of all: The seventh scar was carved by their own hands.

Now sixteen, after a devastating incident inside that school, Aurelia is brought back to the De Santis mansion. But it's not a homecoming. It's an obligation. A reminder that she is unwanted, distrusted, and viewed as a threat by the very family she once loved. Follow Aurelia as she relearns how to exist in a home that no longer feels like hers. No one ever wanted Riley Knight: not her father, who made sure she didn't have any part in his or his families life; not her mother, who resented her for virtually everything; nor her step father, who has hated her since before she was born. Not even her own big brothers -- the ones who are suppose to love and protect her no matter what -- wanted her. Or so she thought. Riley is the product of an affair -- well her and her twin brother, Rome, are -- but she never had two parents. See, her father has always had "something against" the female sex and therefore, it is weak in his eyes to have a daughter. So he kept Rome and sent Riley away from the second the twins were born. He is the one responsible for turning his six sons against his youngest child and only daughter and, therefore, chaining her to a life of abuse and neglect. But did he succeed? Following her fathers death 7 years ago, Riley's brothers have taken a bigger interest in her and her quality of life, ensuring it was up to par. But all is still not perfect among the Knight siblings. Will Riley finally find her solace among her big brothers? Will they find out about the horrors she faces on a day-to-day basis? Can this family ever become one again ... or do the scars run too deep?
