Scream: The Black Metal Massacre
loomayboomay
After the events of Scream 4, Woodsboro has seemingly recovered, but darkness is brewing within the underground music scene. GraveMist, a rising black metal band in Woodsboro, takes heavy inspiration from the chaotic and violent history of Mayhem. The band's enigmatic leader, Necroshade, becomes obsessed with creating "true" black metal art-just like his idols in the Norwegian scene.
One night after a GraveMist concert, a member of the local music scene is found murdered, their body posed in a grotesque display reminiscent of Mayhem's dark legacy. The media quickly dubs the killer "Ghostface" due to the iconic killings from years before, but the new murders bear a twist-they're theatrical, ritualistic, and drenched in black metal imagery.
As the murders intensify, GraveMist becomes the prime suspect, but tensions within the band point to the possibility that one of their own could be the new Ghostface killer. Kirby Reed, having survived the events of Scream 4, is drawn into the investigation. To her horror, she discovers that Charlie Walker, who she thought had died, has resurfaced-now immersed in the world of black metal as a new figure in GraveMist.
