"Aur sirf roti banana hi kaafi nahi hota, Janvi," she said, turning the tawa. Janvi looked up. "Toh aur kya-kya hota hai maa?" Her mother sighed, not tired-just seasoned. "Sab kaam seekhne padte hain. Kapde dhona, bartaan manjhna, subah sabse pehle uthna..." She continued, as if listing everyday items from memory. "Saree pehnna dhang se, pallu sambhalna, ghunghat mein chalna..." Janvi wrinkled her nose. "Ghunghat mein? Maa, dikhega bhi kuch ya bas andhere mein hi chalna padega? Nah baba nah, hum gir gaye toh...Hum nahi daalenge ghunghat vunghat." Her mother smiled briefly but didn't stop. "Aur baat-baat par zubaan sambhalni hoti hai. Bade-buzurgon se izzat se baat, aur..." she paused for half a second, then added, "Pati jo kahe, usse bhi tameez aur adab se sunna hota." Janvi's hands stilled again. "Har baat?" "Har baat," her mother replied quietly. The silence stretched, broken only by the hiss of a roti puffing up. Janvi looked down at the dough stuck to her fingers, then muttered, half-joking, half-serious, "Maa, yeh sasural hai ya gulaami?" Her mother let out a soft, knowing laugh. "Dono samajh le," she said. She handed Janvi a finished roti. "Isliye kehti hoon-yahan seekh le. Baad mein wahan koi sikhata nahi, bas umeed karta hai..aur umeedo pe nahi khade utarne pe sirf taane."

⚠️Highly Mature Content⚠️ (18+/21+ Audience only) #19 on Wattpad [21/01/26] SLOW UPDATES DUE TO BOARDS'26 "Chup chaap humari bitiya se byaah lo, daroga... varna jiss taesh se aaye the naa ussi taesh mein apne jigri dost ki laash saath lekar jaaoge." ("Quietly marry our daughter, officer... or else, the same rage you came here with, you'll return with your best friend's corpse alongside you.") An IPS officer. That's what I am. Stoic, trained to face gunfire without blinking, to stare criminals in the eye. And yet, here I stood in a mud-stained courtyard, stripped of power, cornered by men who didn't fear the law. Is this real? An officer dragged into a pakdua byaah like some helpless boy? With a village girl-barely literate, cloaked in shyness and fragility? Me-a divorced man, father to a one-year-old daughter who waits for me to come home? Nothing about it fit. And yet everything about it was true. Because my best friend-my brother in every sense-sat tied to a chair across from me. His hands bound, his eyes defiant, and three guns pointed to his head. Aarish. Soon to be a father himself. Husband to Suhani, who was as much my sister as blood could make her. What was I supposed to do? Marry or rebel? The choice was never mine. I whispered, almost ashamed: "Main talaaqshuda hoon... aur ek beti ka baap bhi." ("I am divorced... and also the father of a daughter.") She looked at me with steady innocence: "Nahi... ab aap ek shaadi-shuda insaan hai. Aur hum uss bachi ki maa hai." ("No... now you are a married man. And I am that child's mother.") The story revolves around the Rathore family - a powerful and deeply orthodox household where patriarchy rules every corner of the mansion. The men in this family have grown up believing that dominance equals respect, and control is love. They don't know how to value a woman's voice, emotions, or choices. For them, women are meant to obey, not speak. Tradition is their excuse, and ego is their religion. The male leads are cold, aggressive, and emotionally unavailable. They carry the burden of their family legacy like a badge of honor, believing it's their right to command and their privilege to be obeyed. In this toxic environment, women are expected to be submissive, soft-spoken, and endlessly sacrificing. But what happens when the fire within these silent women finally dares to rise?

𝑨 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒙𝒊𝒄 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔. ✿✿✿✿✿ Welcome to the world of Aryans where family is placed before money or power. Here is love, here is hate, here is pain and here is the cure. The Rajputs. Rajput is more than just a name. It has a history of more than hundreds of years. The valour, the strength and the power to survive and win the darkest and hardest battle runs in their blood. Even after hundreds of years their blood holds the same valour, the same spirit which can cut an enemy into pieces. Carrying the Rajputana blood in their veins are The Aryans. The Mafia Clan led by the Rajput brothers. The powerful mafia and the more powerful men. With the faces of the great Greek Gods they are the walking Lucifers in the daylight and an alive Satan in the deep darkness of the night. Being in the Mafia and being the part of highest royalty they are worshipped like gods by their subjects. The gods who are the only makers and destroyers of the large and fertile land of 'Khashiq' a city which is hidden by the eyes of common people of the country. Even after 75 years of independence the government is afraid to set a foot inside this deep sea of death. The air of khashiq holds the smell of dead, blood and cries of innocents and sinners. In the land of darkness entered three innocent souls, one being ambitious who had to sacrifice, the second being musical who had to stay quiet and the third being the purest but had to turn filthy. They are the wives of three elder Rajput brothers who know everything but to love. Tainting the pious relationship of a husband and wife they break their wife in such a way that now nothing can pull the three souls out of that darkness, a darkness which is darker than the world of the Aryans.

"WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. "I'M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR CRYING. JUST ACCEPT THE FACT THAT YOU'RE NEVER LEAVING. THIS IS YOUR LIFE NOW, WITH ME" He spits, anger consuming his voice as I push myself further against the wall. Shutting my eyes closed and turning my face to the side as I do. Moments later, I feel his rough hand on my waist and his finger grazing my cheek. "Look at me, love." His hand grips onto my jaw, his thumb playing across my lower lip. He turns my face to meet his as I lower my gaze to the floor. He lowers himself to my level and I feel his breath fanning my cheek causing my breathing to become unsteady. "I love you so much, darling. But you need to learn. You need to learn that you won't be going anywhere. You're mine." With that being said, his other hand slides down to my waist "Your entire body, your mind, your soul. All mine." All I could do was tremble at his touch. How can someone so beautiful be so heartless? ~~~~~~~~~~ All a 19 year old Aurora Shaw wanted to do was work to make a living and volunteer at the orphanage.
