Spatz, Colorado is a nice town. It's a small suburban town with a good neighborhood and low crime rates. It's picture perfect, white picket fences line every street, well kept green lawns with rose bushes and garden gnomes in almost every flower bed.
But two years ago after one man's delusions drove him to kill his daughter, Spatz 'low crime rate seems to begin to rapidly grow. At first it was just shoplifting and the occasional DUI, but now, girls are going missing.
They're going missing rapidly, and Catherine and her friends are treating it more like a joke than an actual crime case. Maybe it was in bad taste, but they were just joking. That's what teenagers do, they say edgy shit, it's not like they meant it.
But when she finds her friends going missing around her, just like the other girls, she can't help but fear what that means for herself.
Do you ever think about death?
