On a lavishly decorated altar that diverged luxury, two people exchanged their wedding vows. One was adorned in a stunning red lehenga while the other in a simple blue sherwani. The groom was looking more like a friend honestly. Regardless, Shraddha, the bride, like any typical Indian bride, was excited about starting her new life even though it was an arranged marriage. When the ceremony ended, Pandit Ji instructed Anand; the groom to apply vermillion to her forehead. Shraddha smiled shyly while he leaned to smear it on her. Anand is a renowned doctor who is twice her age that secretly harbors a deep, inexplicable hatred for her. But why? Just when the vermillion touched her forehead, a deafening explosion shook the hall and decorations started crashing to the floor. It made the guests scream and scatter in panic. Amidst the chaos, Anand saw the altar starting to collapse, but he turned and fled, leaving Shraddha behind in it. He didn't care if she lived or died because all he wanted at the time was to escape the burden he had been forced to accept, that is, her! Shraddha saw him running away with the priest. She tried to stand, but her lehenga got caught on a nail, and it trapped her. The next morning, after what should have been their wedding night, Anand's cold words shattered whatever hope she had came with. He made it clear he would never touch her, not even to save her life. His heart, he said, would always belong to his late wife.

🌟 NOW OUT ON KINDLE 🌟 https://mybook.to/BoundByLaw *** Marriage is a sacred union tying two people that love each other, together. It brings happiness and blessings. Or that's what it should be. The marriage between traditional Karishma Varghese and the cold-hearted Jai Agarwal was anything but. Horrible circumstances force these two strangers together. Now bound by law, they struggle with feelings of hate in what they think is a loveless marriage, both holding deep, dark secrets, capable of ruining everything. Those very secrets and differences, however, could be what brings these two together in ❧ "Just because we're legally bound together, doesn't mean I love you." He leaned down, spitting out the next words menacingly. "And I never will." I tried to hold back the tears as his amber eyes blazed with anger. "O-okay." "Now, stay out of my fucking personal life or I won't hesitate to ruin yours." As he left, I broke down. The truth was, I never thought that someone could hate me so much that they'd look at me like they wanted to kill me. Especially not if that someone was supposed to be my husband. ❧ Credit to @IamSumayya for making this absolutely gorgeous cover! Thank you so much for taking your time to make it! ❤️ PS. "You're right", she said, sounding contemplative, "Maybe I should grow up and be more practical." "Well...you know 'Princes on white horses' are 'fairy'-tales right?" Abhi said, air-quoting again. He was feeling relieved now that she was seeing some logic. "Yeah...but...I sooo wanted it! A guy who could brave the most terrible storms to rescue me, the sparks fly when we touched each other, the fastening of heart beats when we..." "Geez Siya! I get the point. I never guessed you lived in fantasy land! So in short I am exactly opposite to what you want?", his voice dripping of offence and frustration. Siya laughed. How like Abhi to get offended by some hypothetical guy who she hypothetically thought was better than Abhi. "No not exactly! But you are my friend Abhi, there's no spark!", she added with a hand gesture. Seeing him getting seriously irked, she smiled to herself. "Oh God! Siya-" "I know it is childish Abhi...", she took a short decisive pause, "and...that's why...I am ready to do this", she finished, her grin widening. "To do what?" Abhi asked, thoroughly bemused by the variety of expressions Siya was giving. "To marry you." *** Siya and Abhi have known each other since forever, being the children of two bestfriends and having spent all their lives in the same household. They transitioned from being partners-in-crime to business partners. So what happens when Abhi's Dad asks them to get married to each other? In a country where marriages are believed to be made in heaven and are meant to last for seven-lives, will two bestfriends survive the difficult test of Marriage? Or will their life-long friendship bear the brunt of their conflicting ideas of love and relationships? Would Abhi and Siya's friendship last while they follow the age old tradition of 'Arranged Marriage'?
