Samantha Vida is an ordinary orphan girl. She lives in the governor's house and works as a maid. Everyday, she wakes up early, cooks breakfast, then she goes to wake up Elizabeth Swann, her mistress. After breakfast is served, she cleans Elizabeth's room before polishing the floor. After her chores are done, she is allowed to wander the town until ab hour before dinner, when she is required to return, cook the family dinner, then help Hannah prepare Elizabeth for bed. Routine, day in and day out, Samantha says, will keep her safe, protected. But what on earth could Samantha Vida- an orphan servant girl- fear? Unless, she is not actually Samantha Vida, that would mean she could fear a whole lot.
