An (probably unoriginal) AU I thought of where Mario and Luigi are the Princes of the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach and Daisy are their knights/protectors. This is a pretty slow burn fanfic of Bowser and Luigi and I'm publishing this story to get input on it and there aren't many Bowuigi fanfics out there. If the input is good, I'll be more than happy to continue the story because I love this pairing so much. Anyway, enjoy! Also I chose the least accurate cover art for the story >.<

After Mario saves Princess Peach from Bowser's grasp again, something in Luigi wonders if the Koopa king really is as evil as the Mushroom kingdom, and his own brother, make him out to be. This is my first fanfic, so I hope it is somewhat decent! Updates may be sporadic because I am starting my first semester of college. I would like to note that some aspects of canon will be applied, and others, like height or age will be changed. Bonus points if you can find any of the references to songs or other literature! Feel free to DM or comment your guesses!
