This is a personal documentation through poetry. I am learning to look inward now, give myself love when I least want to. I do not live to love others, I live to love myself. I will find and create what is enough for me, and you will learn to let it be enough for you. 2022

This poetry book was written having multiple narratives, lots of happiness and healing, lots of aching and low points. I choose the title "sincerely October" to capture being authentic.

Burning Greens and Electric Blues is a story on hopes, dreams and earth. It tells the story of a group of children discovering a treehouse, and learning about the power of nature and their responsibilities to it. It also has sections of poetry, to add to the story. Overall, the message of the story is one of the power society holds, respecting nature, and that dreams are achievable! As a writer, it is a microcosm for climate change and what we, as a society, are doing to earth right now, but I think part of the beauty of it is that it means different things to different people. I really hope you enjoy this story as much as I loved writing it. Comment any suggestions or feedback and vote on any of the sections you like to let me know what you think. Thanks 💙

🖤🖤 This is the first section of my new poetry trilogy called 'the storm fades'. The storm represents negativity, hurt, anger, hate and destructive mindsets, all of which can impact people's happiness and perspective. However its fading (and the overall sentiment of the poems) is all about how we can overcome these things individually and as a society to be happier and stronger. Each collection within the trilogy has a separate message within this topic. So 'there's no sunset without darkness' focuses on mindset, positivity and kindness. (The other two will cover different things). There's a range of poems in this collection about many themes and in different styles. I really tried to challenge myself creatively to produce something a bit different! This meant I spent a lot of time writing, editing and trying new ideas. 'There's no sunset without darkness' is mostly about how in life there are both good and bad experiences and situations and your attitude determines what you make of these experiences. So the message is to focus on the positive and that you can always make good out of what might seem to be bad at first, and that you can come out of it better than you thought you would. Some of these poems are about society generally, whereas others are more about experiences and thoughts that affect individuals. The poems of this section of the trilogy are: 1. Angels 2. Demons 3. Into the Clouds 4. The Ravens and the Dove 5. Light and Dark 6. Winter 7. Perfect Beauty 8. The Storm I hope you enjoy reading and let me know what you think by voting and commenting x Part two posted - part three up on 8th June! 🖤🖤

💙💙 'Pink clouds behind dark skies' is the third and final part of my poetry trilogy 'the storm fades'. This collection of poetry focuses on love: self love/ self image, love and respect within society and love of nature and our planet, and the differing results of what the world is like with and without these types of love. The poems also reference a lot of other issues within society such as body image pressures, mental health and toxic masculinity. I loved writing these poems over the last few months, as I got to express my ideas on a lot things which was fun. I also got to challenge myself creatively by trying different ideas and perspectives in this collection. I hope you enjoy reading these poems as much as I did writing them. Feel free to leave any comments or feedback, Lucy x Contents: 1. Dangerous Things 2. Damsel In Distress 3. Little Miss Daydream 4. Perfect 5. Stone Cold Heart 6. Misty Sky 7. Straitjacket by @clumpywoods 8. The Runaway Royals 9. Little Miss Daydream pt 2 10. Luna Moth 11. Summer Rain 12. If This Was A Fairytale 13. Polaroid 14. 🧡🧡 "... You've got an Adonis blue heart /Tissue paper thin wings..." ".... Guess it's hard to shine as a butterfly when you're told you're a moth and that shows..." 🦋🦋 Here are some lines from 'Adonis Blue Heart' the second poem in this new collection - part two of 'the storm fades'. 'Rain makes rainbows' is something I'm really excited and proud to share because each poem has a meaning and says something. The messages of these poems range from mental health and body image to peace to equality, and are mostly much happier than 'there's no sunset without darkness'. As I say in 'Golden Sunlight', "it looks like the storm has passed". I really hope you enjoy these poems and can take something from them. I had so much fun writing them and got to challenge myself so much creatively. Please vote on anything you like, and any feedback or comments would also be appreciated. Happy reading, Lucy x Poem list: 1. Rainbow 2. Adonis blue heart 3. Neon Lights 4. The orange marigold 5. Golden Sunlight 6. I think it's called Peace 7. Princess Blue(bell) 8. They Said... 9. this love 10. Wonderland ~ Full collection now posted. Feel free to comment / vote. 🧡🧡 📸 Photo credits to me 🎨 All art / picture credits to my friends (see thank you note)

'These phantoms that creep in the crevices of your anxiety/ These clowns with crowbars that lurk in the back of your insecurity' ~ from the title poem 'In Your Head' 'Glittering in gold with pastel pink adorning your hair like a/ Crown of revival' ~ Vulnerable My fifth poetry collection 'In Your Head' is different to anything I've done before. It's in some ways darker than The Storm Fades trilogy, and the style is different to my first poetry collection 'Red is the colour of passion'. This poetry collection is about mental health, but also encompasses issues such as society, political disillusionment, empowerment, self image and equality. When writing 'In Your Head' I explored many different themes and emotions that I think a lot of people will be able to relate to. I hope when you read these poems you are able to connect to them and what I was feeling and trying to express in the creative process. I hope you enjoy reading these poems as much as I did writing them and that you can connect with what I've written here. Feel free to vote on any poems you like, and comment any feedback. Happy reading, Lucy x Full collection now posted!
