Y/n was a mostly good kid, About 12 at the time. They loved their family, even is they wanted to strangle them sometimes. So finding out they were gone obviously hit them like a ton of bricks. Their extended family wasn't able to gain custody for a variety of reasons. And you know what that means... They were going into the system. Great.
