In this story you will find no dragons to be found. nor witches for that matter. This story begins in England. It is about a rich boy named Arthur, and his manservant named Merlin. (This is my first ever Merlin story so please bare with me as I write this.)

Merlin and Gwaine decide to pull a prank on Arthur, which turns out bad for Merlin. Arthur decides to punish Merlin by going on a hunting trip. What will happen when they come across a sorcerer who turns Merlin back into a child? Will a certain secret be revealed? ~Light cursing in some chapters~ *I do not own Merlin, all rights go to BBC*

(Set in present time) Merlin pulled his bulky warm coat around him as the autumn wind whipped around him, slicing through his clothes like daggers. Red and orange leaves littered the ground, staining the green grass in the park. He didn't know why he was at the park at seven o clock in the morning but he woke up in a sweat, terrified from a nightmare he couldn't remember, and had a sudden...urge?... To go to the park.

After Freya's death Merlin thinks he'll never find love again. But he couldn't be more wrong. As Arthur tries to cheer up his manservant they both discover something. Something that can't happen between them, not with Uther as king. Will their love be more powerful than the fear they feel? "We look each other in the eyes. I could drown in his blue eyes. I'm getting closer. My heart is racing. I feel warm. My eyes drops to his lips. I need to kiss him. I feel my stomach upside down. He's coming closer too. We're two inches distant. Slowly I place my lips on his. They're really soft and warm. We kiss. It's a gentle kiss. Our lips are synchronized. I grab his face with my hands, bringing him nearer. We keep kissing and when we move away a thought hits me. This can't happen. If my father finds it out, he will kill him. I don't want to hurt Merlin." A Merthur fic set in canon era. After two years of putting up with his useless excuse for a manservant, Arthur begins to suspect that there may be more to Merlin than meets the eye. But Merlin's not the only one with a secret. And maybe destinies aren't always as they seem. AU where I use elements of all five seasons in a way that does not always comply with canon. WARNING: Contains: (some) violence, mentions of blood, and a lot of gayness (duh)

Merlin gets kidnapped by an unknown person and when he returns, he's different. Gaius finds out what causes it. The Fomorroh. Arthur and Merlin go on a quest to kill the mother beast while it's tranquilized, so they can protect Camelot from Morgause and Cenred. Gwen and Morgana are also a big part of the story and I write in their perspective too. (I have put it on AO3 as well, I am currently editing out spelling/grammatical errors there, because it's easier than on this platform)

Basically how Merlin should've ended...
