"Dzheremi, why are you not doing your studies?" Lita the house maid said to a young man sitting on the porch.
"There is no such need for studies when you do not die, my lady." The young man with dark hair said, he sat as the sun was rising overhead.
"Everyone dies. You are not an exclusion, you just will not die for a very long time. How does it fell never changing? To forever been a young man of eighteen?" Lita said as she swept the front porch, her short hair was graying. Her dark skin was wrinkled and her brown eyes were dept less.
"It feels empty," He said quietly. He stood then, he was a man of height, well over six foot. His black hair was hanging long into his blue piercing eyes."Don't worry, sir. You will find someone to share your eternity with, I just know you will." Lita said.
"A life of always moving and being in high school forever is a hard life, madam." Dzheremi whispered. "Why are you not afraid of me, Lita?"
"If you meant me harm you would have already acted upon it,sir. You are the nicest master I have ever had, just because you're not human doesn't make you a terrible person." Lita walked back into the house without another word.
Dzheremi stood in the porch for a long time, staring over his plantation intently. He was a wealthy person in Louisiana at the time but he could only stay for another two years before he would eventually have to leave, letting Lita stay behind. He was tired of moving all of the time, a thousand years is way too long without having someone by his side.
