Its been a few years, 2 or 3 since they split up and went back to their assorted timelines. Carrying out their life in peace, well- as best as they can get that it. But its all disturbed when theres a sudden upheaval in one of their timelines sending all of them back to square one in the newly destroyed Hyrule.
The chain had gotten ambushed by monsters, and Wild was killed in the battle. The other links mourned the loss of their brother, unaware that the spirit of a certain champion came to visit his grave to raise him from the dead. Now the chain finds themselves in Wild's era just after the events of Totk
