This story offers a look into the day before the events of "So Close," before Kion's devastating death on the journey to the Tree of Life. The Lion Guard finds themselves caught in a storm in the mountains and finds relief and shelter with a kind old macaque. As the rest of the Guard plays out in the rain, Fuli and Kion enjoy a blissful moment together, not realizing it is one of their last. Only when the old macaque warns Fuli of the true severity of Kion's scar does she realize she may not have much time left with her best friend.

What if Kion never made it to the Tree of Life? What if the venom in his scar was too much for him? When their leader dies along the journey to find healing for his scar, the Guard must find their own healing as they face this great loss. Fuli finds the reins of leadership unexpectedly thrown upon her as she and Kion spend their last moments together. Some members of the Guard may take longer to heal than others, but Fuli must find the strength to keep her team united in this difficult time.

(Something that I created in my mind where Yuya was raised by Crow and Shinji I own nothing but the story itself the characters aren't mine). After taking Yuya in so he wouldn't die in the cold rain Crow and Shinji decided to raise him as they're own but while they were Raising Yuya Crow was having nightmares about one person taking Yuya away from with those nightmares Crow became very Protective of Yuya making sure no one will take Yuya away from him and Shinji.
