Divergent storyline after Alina and Mal find the stag. Alina is captured by General Kirigan, but he doesn't kill the stag immediately. There is a second chance for shadow and light. Will Alina be sucked into the darkness or will she bring Aleksander into the light? (based on Shadow and Bone tv series only).

What if Aleksander told Alina the truth about who he was the night of the Winter Fete? Would she choose to stay with him? or Would she escape with Mal? Alina Starkov is the bastard daughter of the Duke of Keramsov. Having grown up around royalty, she's befriended Prince Nikolai, who has decided that now they're eighteen she's the perfect girl to become his future queen. But when the King's advisor, Lord Aleksander Morozova finds out that she's a bastard he instantly steps in and challenges Nikolai to a duel forcing Alina to either accept his hand in marriage or risk the life of the crown Prince. Lord Morozova doesn't want Nikolai, whose legitimacy is already questioned, marrying another bastard so he takes it upon himself to force Alina into marriage. The events that took his life - the life of the Darkling, also known as Aleksander Morozova, The Black Heretic or The Shadow King. Alina is now married to Malyen Oretsev, which she such desperately wanted some time ago.
