Shadow and Sonic both lost someone that means the most to them. With Shadow being driven by his anger going around causing chaos, Sonic must over come his depressive state to take Shadow down. But what if the two found out about their loses and get even closer than they'd imagine? - This story deals with (As the title says) Compassion: Sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Passion: Strong and barely controllable emotion.

After Sonic is killed in battle against Black Doom, his friends return him to his birth place; Christmas Island, where the Queen revives him. Upon doing so Shadow asks the Queen to rid every memory that Sonic ever had of him in order to protect him from what he thinks is a deathly curse he has. (As anyone he loves and holds dear seem to die) While fighting Eggman and his awakened Demi god, Shadow is injured and knocked unconsious. The only one to help him now is a blue hedgheog who can't help but admire him and think, 'Do I know you?' Can Shadow keep Sonic from not knowing him, let alone falling back in love!?

When Sonic confesses his love to Shadow on a stormy night he makes a promies. A promise thet his lover would never lose him. Just as things seem to be going so very well... theres sudden infection in the water killing almost everyone! And an invador who's come for pay back.... Will Sonic be able to keep his promise?
