Soon, though, her mother is not the most important thing on the young girl's mind as she discovers a hidden side of herself and meets a strange winged boy who pulls her into a magical world she could never in her wildest dreams have imagined. Soon Sebastian’s gorgeous brother arrives in town, hotter and badder than anyone could imagine and Odessa's caught between a rock and a hard place. Can they stop feuding long enough to find out what happened to Odessa’s mother? And how many people will have to die before the truth comes to light? Are the inhabitants of Spring Valley all they seem, or do some people know more then they're letting on?

In a cityscape populated by individuals with magically inclined abilities powered by Colour, Athira is a hunter. The name's Chaos. Chaos Killbourne to be exact. People call me reckless, but they're wrong. I'm more like the perfect storm. Destroy an entire city with a single glance? I can do that. Wipe mankind off the face of the earth once and for all? I can do that too. Born to lead a revolt of epic proportions so the Dark Ones can rise up and rule the world is my destiny. Refusing to follow direct orders and become a weapon of mass destruction is my downfall. Cursed by fate, I'm currently on a collision course to form the perfect union in order to balance my explosive supernatural powers before I self-destruct, and take the planet with me. There's just one tiny problem. Once formed the union can never be broken. With a bad attitude and an even worse temper I can't be tamed. Not that I have time to worry about my love life, of course. I'm just trying to make it through high school in one piece. All I know for sure is that the future of mankind rests in my hands, which really pisses me off. I never asked to save the world. The prince seeks her out to tease and befriend. Then one of Cook's daughters starts teaching her magic, and a scullery maid proves herself immune to poison. They move, with their mum, to a small town in Northern California called Avondale. After a not-so-good encounter with a guy at the grocery store that resulted in her seducing the guy into giving her the last packet of Oreos, Cameron finds out that the guy has a name. Aaron Weaver, aka, her new high school's bad boy and her sister's new target. When Aaron starts taking an interest in Cameron, she instantly retreats to her shell and ignores him until he ends up showing up at her window. Literally. Cameron only wants Aaron to leave her alone and let her senior year slip by.
