George quite literally dropped his phone at the sight of rosy cheeks, a bright smile, and backgrounds that were all too familiar to him. (This story has been entered into the Watty awards :D) After not being approved to move to the states, George takes a small two week vacation in the summer to visit his friends. His friends drag him to a party where a reckless decision was made. Two years later George is alone in his apartment with nothing but the sound of the heater and his sleeping two year old on his chest. He hasn't spoken to his friends since he left the states all those years ago, terrified of what they might say. What they might think. George knows the text will come, its his decision on what to do about it he needs to think through. Happy 25th birthday to himself, he thinks.

"C-Can you-" George stutters. His mind races a mile a minute, he can't think straight, not with Dream looking at him like that. His face burns a hundred degrees hotter than it should be and he looks away from his intense, worried stare, instead of George eyes the spot of brown on the table. "Can you teach me how to kiss?" He blurts out. There's a heavy-weighted, stretched silence that sinks between them and the only thing George hears is the blood rushing through his ears accompanied by the faint chatter of customers and hissing of coffee machines. "Are- Are you serious?" Dream looks shocked and slightly bewildered like he doesn't completely believe the brunet is asking for a serious question. or; George asks Dream to teach him how to kiss to impress Sapnap. Things escalate a little. And by a little maybe a too much.

George would claim to be unbiased vehemently, saying he loved each of the - very attractive, in his opinion - band boys equally but Nick could confidently tell you otherwise. Too many "but have you heard Dream's voice?" and "but Nick look at him!"'s haunted his dreams. Which was why he was currently walking to George's house, two backstage concert tickets tucked away safely, swearing to hold this over George's head forevermore. When Dream feels his heart rate speed up at the end of George's Livestream, he knows he's too far gone. "This feels so wrong," George says and repeats. Dream clicks off the stream, the sounds of labored breathing filling the room as he tried to stem the panic he was feeling. The next day, after he had just barely dragged himself away from the edge of oblivion and heartache he would never return from, he felt the first tickle at the back of his throat.
