Eleven revisits Hawkins and connects with her old friends. That is until she sees Max again. The best friend. Max feels awful and Eleven tries to help. But Max can't help but feel anger towards her. Because she loved her. But maybe in a different way.

Max had a terrible past, starting from when her mother married an abusive/rapist man. Ever since that day, her world came crashing down. All of her friends and people she cared about have left her because they were either afraid of her stepbrother, bully's her or they were using her. Max never had real friends, this is why one day she promised herself she could never trust again, but a part of her feared being alone. But as she already promised herself to never trust anyone, she pushed those feeling aside. Until she met someone that made her break that promise. Jane's life was amazing! She has friends, caring family, she's popular, and has an amazing boyfriend. She couldn't ask for a better life!
