So he does, only to realise that he is also stabbing himself in the real world too. But when he realises it is already too late. Sunny then dies. With both Basil and Sunny dead there is nobody alive who knows the truth about Mari's death anymore. Omori has won and has been able to keep the truth hidden away. But when Kel realises just how much sunny actually meant to him, he starts dreaming of sunny, Basil, mari, Aubrey, Hero and himself as they were before, creating a headspace-like world in his dreams.
