THIS IS NOT MY ORIGINAL STORY!!!!!! The storyline is based on an urdu novel called "Carpe Diem" by Rabia Khan. It revolves around an actress who is struggling to gain back her once celebrated stardom and a bodyguard of the same agency. I'm using the same storyline but with Meerasim in it. I'll be changing the characters names and a few plot points accordingly but the main theme of the story will remain the same.

Murtasim is driven by a desire for power, success, and maintaining his family's legacy. He pours his heart and soul into his business, believing that success can fill the void left by his father's death and the betrayal of his first love, Ayesha Ali. Conversely, Meerab is motivated by duty and familial loyalty. The last wish of her late paternal uncle, Shahnawaz Khan, was for Murtasim and Meerab to marry, which puts immense pressure on her. Without many options for a future that fulfills her dreams, she finds herself walking a precarious line-wanting to honor her family's wishes while yearning for a sense of independence and love.

Emotions are running high for both Meerab and Murtasim, be it rage, jealousy, contempt or love. The lines between them are blurrier than ever. Will Murtasim commit an unforgivable crime that could ruin his relationship with Meerab forever? ~*~ Note: This is a reimagining of what happened "behind closed doors" immediately after the last scene of episode 46. I know that the 'Tere Bin' fandom has gone through a lot in the last few days, and quite frankly, the dark turn the story was supposed to take in episodes 46-47 where a marital rape was to take place upset me a great deal, much like everyone else. Even though the makers have retconned the assault due to audiences' backlash and added voiceovers trying to convey that the consummation was consensual, it is not the least bit convincing. My attempt with this OS is to make sense of the current storyline and hypothesise as to why Meerab and Murtasim feel so much dread and regret (bordering on trauma) in the current scenario, having consummated their relationship consensually (even though we know why they are behaving the way they are according to the original storyline). The narration is close to stream of consciousness form since it serves to give us a better insight into Meerab's thoughts. I know its a sensitive topic for many, and I've tried to make the events in the OS as organic and trigger-free as possible. But of course, I'd still caution extra sensitive readers to tread carefully. Nevertheless, I hope I'm able to do the story and the characters justice!

But when she gets to know a dirty secret about him, her life ends up in danger, clueless that Murtasim has been falling for her all along.
