Long ago, at the end of the Great War, the Voltaris were outnumbered. The war had gone on for far too long and the Nether Armada had abandoned them. Their only choice was to erect an obsidian portal for their leader, Ingressus - one that led not to another place, but another time. The portal was intended to only travel one hundred and fifty-four years into the future. But when the Deathsinger emerged, he learned that he had gone forward by one thousand and fifty-four years.
