Now employed at a Speakeasy owned by the charismatic and terrifying Bill Cipher, Dipper begins to discover that his employer may be more than he seems. And as Dipper begins to fall for the other man, he may find himself in a situation more dangerous than he could have ever dreamed.

An epidemic had been ravaging the United-States, turning people into zombies. The Pines family suspect someone must have raised the dead or something like this. Dipper is stuck between helping to keep them all alive and finding a way to make people come back to normal, though it is complicated without Ford to help. "Wait!" Dipper shouted. Bill's eye color turned normal but his stare was murderous and he loosened his hold. Bill put a free hand to the side of his eye as if it were an ear and said, "Sorry, what was that, Pine Tree? You said something?" Dipper froze up. He looked to his uncles, who had faces of fear and Ford had his hand wrapped tightly around Stan's arm. Dipper couldn't bear to look at him. He saw his sister, her eyes so wide. Her lower lip trembled. He saw tears in her eyes. "Speak up, kid," Bill made his voice boom. Finally, Dipper forced the words out his throat, "I want to make a deal with you."
