That is until he gets to know Neteyam. Neteyam slowly starts to relate to this boy and warms up to him, creating a beautiful friendship and maybe even something more, he denies this fate, until he gives up fighting the thoughts in his head giving in to what his heart wants. Ao'nung entangled by the beauty of Neteyam, changes his ways for him, turning into a kind and considerate boy who's only focus is on Neteyams wellbeing and happiness.
