The breeze blew softly as the young uppermoon demon sat along the rooftop. Her bangs fell loosely over her left eye as she removed her hairpin. A gift from someone so long ago. Not that she remembered, such was the curse of a demon.
"I know you're there," She spoke tauntingly, startling the person approaching behind her.
"You're so much more alert than me," uppermoon six pouted, sitting beside the girl.
"Hence why I'm uppermoon zero," she teased again.
"Only for seven years, I've been upper six for over half a century!" Daki preened. Uppermoon zero rolled her eyes.
"Daki, do you ever wonder about your human life?" the girl questioned. Daki bristled.
"Why would I want to wonder about when I was a pathetic human? I'm a demon now and powerful demons can merely toss out the humans," she spat.
"Heh. Your hatred for them sure does run deep," the younger girl chuckled.
"Unlike yours. I cannot believe Muzan-Sama allowed you to become an uppermoon!" She whined.
"We both know it's because of my strength," uppermoon zero replied truthfully.
"Of course I know that, Ms. '"I'm so strong I killed two Hashira an hour after becoming a demon'" Daki mocked.
"You should head back. You have to keep your guise as an oiran," she reminded, ignoring the childish behavior. Daki groaned audibly.
"You should be an oiran with me, not some stupid lab doctor!" uppermoon six tugged on the other female's arm, lacking in a sleeve to grab onto. Uppermoon zero cracked another smile, freeing herself.
"The job pays well, and it's easy to get food without suspicion. Besides, would you really want more competition in your business?" She teased, now enjoying herself thoroughly.
"Wha- NO! Of course not!!! You wouldn't be anyway, I'm FAR prettier!" Daki assured the other. Uppermoon zero put an arm over her junior's shoulders, squeezing her.
"Suuuure you are," Uppermoon zero took her leave, abandoning her fuming companion.
