No one really paid much attention to Shadowscale, after all, what is a prince good for anyways? He couldn't become ruler of the RainWings and NightWings, that curse would go to his younger sister, Princess Firefly. He knew his mother cared for him, but Queen Glory was always busy. When she wasn't seeing her subjects, she was preparing Firefly to become Queen one day. He always tried to make himself look as small and insignificant as possible, he wanted to be ordinary. After all, he hasn't been since his birth. Born under the light of two and a half moons, he had received the ancient NightWing powers of legends, learning to harness them in secret under the watchful eyes of Moonwatcher, who shares similar abilities. However, his are different. He can read minds normally. As for prophecy, he could only see three possible futures. One was good, the other 2 were awful... In order to prevent the bad ones, he must become something he never thought he'd ever become. *** "Dad?" Shadowscale's voice called out, gently and silently like the wind. The NightWing's ears perked up as he turned his head towards his son. "Oh, Shadow, what are you doing at this hour? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" "Don't NightWings sleep during the day now?" Shadowscale retorted causing Deathbringer to bark out a laugh. "Touche my son! But still, what do you need?" His small talons where shaking as the flashes of fire and death flashed before his eyes, as if reminding him why he needed to do this. Why he needed to ask this. Because if he didn't... it could possibly be the end of Pyrriah. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he opened them again, his amber eyes where full of determination. "Teach me how to become an assassin." WoF doesn't belong to me! Tui. T. Sutherland owns it. I only own the plot and some Characters!

Original idea by @witch_named_willow where they had this concept but with Sunny. What if Morrowseer lost the nightwing egg? Who would his replacement be? What would Starflight be like if he was never given that name, grew up outside and away from any guardians and volcanoes, without any friends or siblings, born under all three moons, and (arguably) most importantly; no scrolls? Would he even be able to scrape by? And what about the Dragonets of Destiny? Who would they get instead of the intelligent scroll worm?

This book has been put on hold and will be rewritten soon! ------------------------ "You're just like her! You'll be nothing more than a shadow, HER shadow!" Every dragonet is born with a purpose, each one born with a future. They will have their paths and options set out before them, able to pick and chose which ones to take. Being told what to do and how to do it, but what if they want to do things for themselves and pick their own future? Their own paths to follow? Lydia always believed she had a future, it was always right there in front of her in the form of her mother. She was born with a purpose, a great one at that to take back what was rightfully stolen form her family. From her. She's been trained for this, trained for every possible future that could try and push its way into her life and distract her from what mattered most, for what she's been working for ever since she was able to walk on her own. She's ready for her first mission, her first chance to really prove herself to her parents that she's the dragonet they have raised, she's the dragonet they need to take back what's been lost. But....they didn't train her for all the challenges the real world truly holds outside of their hidden cave within the mountains. They didn't train her for what to do if dragons start to talk to her, follow her around and tell their stories. Dragons no one else can see. ------------------------ The Wings of Fire series is written by Tui T. Sutherland and this is just a fan-fiction based off of her series. No characters within this book are from the cannon books and it doesn't follow the cannon timeline. If you're reading this on a site other than Wattpad, then you're reading a stolen version from a site who has taken my work without my permission.

Friend, or Foe? If there was a single thing Radiant didn't hate, it wouldn't have existed for long before being snatched away from her. Radiant never had it good growing up in Wasp Hive; the terrible teachers and the looming threat of a tyrannical queen being the main factors of course. Radiant has always known that HiveWings were evil and her tribe was practically useless to both her or to stop Wasp. It was beginning to seem as though she'd never find anything positive to say about life. That would've been until she would be bought by a rich HiveWing in Hornet Hive. A 'Duke', if you will. A well mannered HiveWing who treats Radiant with... Respect? Kindness? Is it all a trick set up by Wasp herself to confess her blasphemy to this puppet, or is this dragon really sincere to her? And if so, will she care for him enough to return back to her worst nightmare, her home? (Credit to AaronCyanShades for the cover art and credit to Joy Ang.)
