John accidentally gives Sherlock the idea to kidnap his lover, the middle child of the Moriarty brothers, and use him for ransom so he could pay off his overdue monthly rent. This was of course meant to be a joke, John meant no harm at all, but Sherlock being Sherlock... He would take any excuse he can to see his favorite Mathematics Professor
