Su presencia dio lugar a múltiples universos donde, en algunos, los humanos podían ver a los Kwamis gracias a los Miraculous, joyas mágicas que otorgaban sus poderes. La combinación de los Miraculous de creación y destrucción concedía un poder absoluto capaz de cambiar la realidad, aunque siempre manteniendo el equilibrio universal. En el universo donde se desarrolla esta historia, nadie ha visto jamás a un Kwami ni ha poseído un Miraculous. Aquí, la mayoría de las personas tienen habilidades especiales, pero un 20% carece de ellas. Entre ellos está Izuku Midoriya, un joven sin poderes que sueña con ser héroe, a pesar de la falta de apoyo y las burlas que enfrenta.
