Lisa's life shattered the night her Fiancé died in a tragic accident. Her world, once bright and full of plans, dimmed into something cold and terrifying. Grief consumed her in ways she couldn't control-panic-filled nights, shaking hands, and hallucinations that painted her late lover's face in every shadow. She kept seeing him. Hearing him. Feeling him. Everyone told her it was just trauma. A mind desperate to hold on. But to Lisa, the visions felt like the only thing she had left-fragments of a love she wasn't ready to lose. Then Jennie arrived. Quiet, steady, and unexpectedly gentle, Jennie steps into Lisa's chaotic world with no judgment and no expectations-just patience. She doesn't flinch when Lisa breaks down. She doesn't walk away when the hallucinations return. Instead, she becomes the anchor Lisa didn't know she needed. But the closer Jennie gets, the more complicated everything becomes. Because the shadows of Lisa's past aren't done with her. The hallucinations grow stronger. The memories grow sharper. And the line between what's real and what's imagined begins to crumble. Jennie wants to help her heal. Lisa wants to learn how to breathe again. But healing means letting go-and letting go feels like losing him all over again. As Jennie slowly becomes a light in her darkness, Lisa is forced to make a choice: keep living in the ghosts of yesterday... or take a step toward someone who's offering her a new tomorrow. A story about grief, healing, unexpected love, and the fragile journey of finding hope after everything falls apart.

Jennie was a nurse and got relocated at an asylum and she met Lisa who was described as a very dangerous patient. Disclamer: I wrote this in 2017 (I was still a teenager) and yes this is awfully written. I don't get the popularity of this story when I think (in my opinion) I have written better stories now that I'm older.🙇🏻‍♀️

"We always tend to believe that it's the bad memories that hurt you the most. But no one knows that it's actually the good ones that drive you insane.." "You become vulnerable." It leaves you broken and you become desperate to the point that you'll do anything just for that memory to happen again. And then you woke up.....you woke up from the truth that no matter what you do, it will never come back. "They will never come back." That's why they're called memories. "And so you put all your shattered pieces together.. Hoping that one day you'll be able to pull through and heal. Only to find yourself shattered again from the flashbacks that you wish to never remember." "It's a constant battle Chaeyoung." "And everyday it feels like you are trap in a war between remembering and forgetting." "And no matter what you choose, you know in the end you still lose." Author's note: Hi! This is a converted story from my other account. The original story has only 3 chapters and I never continued it for the reason that I can't feel much from the characters. But when I learned about Chaelisa, I just felt that this story will be perfect for them. Hope you guys would enjoy it. The story started a year after the Pandemic with a lot of flashbacks. It tackles mainly on the bitter set back of moving on and healing process. Some chapters might trigger your depression, I apologize in advance. Read at your own risk. Just a gentle reminder from your friendly author. -thechosenone
