"Just hold on to me, you won't fall." Adrian assures, as I cling to his arm "unless I fall first then we're both screwed." He adds and an overwhelming urge to strangle him takes over me. Before I can say anything, Cel's shriek makes me look across the ice rink "I could have died!" she glares at Ryver who throws his hands up in exasperation and fires back "Prove it! You barely slipped." Blair sighs, rubbing her temples as she mutters "This is why we can't do nice things." "This was the last cup they had" Art grins at the cup of steaming hot chocolate before opening his mouth again but it's Elle who speaks next "Do not say what you were going to say Art." I find myself agreeing with Blair as I look over the mess that is the result of combining our group with an activity like ice skating. "I read the most effective way to rid friction between a group of people is to have an or-" Caspian snickers at the horrified looks we throw him before Adrian cuts him off. "Okay all those in agreement to vote Casp out say-" he dosen't get to finish as Casp yells "I was joking!"

Rosie Moving to New York was my fresh start, a chance to get away from my disaster of a hometown, and maybe learn how to breathe on my own. Romance? Not on the itinerary. So when I meet a charming, overly confident guy at a bar with golden-blond hair and too many dimples than should be legal, and way too much flirt - I don't expect to see him again. Then I do... on the ice, the very next night. Dylan I've met plenty of girls in bars. Most of them know who I am, Rosie didn't. And maybe that's why I couldn't stop thinking about her. She was introverted and blunt and completely unimpressed with my attempt at a pick up line, which was honestly kind of refreshing. Seeing her in the stands at my game felt like fate. Running into her again afterward? Game on. A sweet, slow-burn hockey rom-com about unlikely connections, quiet confidence, and falling for someone who sees past the spotlight.

Levi Howard is a senior wide receiver with a reputation built on discipline, distance, and control. He knows who Genevieve Owen is-the twin sister of his quarterback and someone who has always been off-limits. Other than quick hellos at parties or games, he doesn't really know her. And he's never tried to. Genevieve Owen is a fashion design senior with an eye for detail and a confidence shaped by love and stability. Raised in a warm, close-knit family, she believes in loyalty, second chances, and showing up for the people you care about. She knows Levi as her brother's teammate and friend: popular, talented and quietly mysterious. Unlike most football players, he doesn't sleep around much-which only fuels the whispers she's heard in passing halls. Hot. Untouchable. Just impressions. Nothing more. They come from opposite worlds. Genevieve's family is everything to her-a constant source of support, comfort, and grounding. Levi comes from a wealthy but broken home, where love was replaced with distance and expectations. For him, family isn't something you're born into-it's something you earn. His football team is the only family he ever knew. They're strangers sharing the same campus-until senior year places them in the same class. And then pairs them together for the entire semester. For Levi, Genevieve is a boundary he refuses to cross. For Genevieve, Levi is a mystery she can't quite figure out-and she's always loved a challenge. It isn't love at first sight. It's restraint and curiosity. Warmth colliding with walls built for survival. Conversations that begin professionally and slowly become personal. A connection that builds quietly, deliberately, and dangerously.

Every morning, Serenity shows up to the office before anyone else - including Ezra Langford, her infamously cold, calculating, and annoyingly attractive boss. She brings him coffee, not because he asks, but because she wants to - always with a handwritten quote on the cup, something cheesy, optimistic, and completely not his style. Or so she thinks. Because while Ezra never says thank you, never even cracks a smile... he's kept every single cup lid with her notes. Hidden in the bottom drawer of his desk, they're the only bright spot in his otherwise grayscale life. But when Serenity's warmth starts to get under his skin - and into his heart - he'll have to decide if he's brave enough to step out of hiding and tell her the truth: She's not just his coffee girl. She's the only reason he still believes in good things. »»-------¤-------«« "So, uh... any regrets on the merger yet?" "Only that Chase ordered shrimp from that place on 8th again." I laugh, too hard and too quickly. "You didn't like it?" "It tastes like regret." I grin. "That's what he said about your budgeting spreadsheet." Ezra's mouth twitches. Not a smile, not really. But close. I should say something professional. Something normal. Instead- "Do you really read them?" I ask softly. He looks up. "The quotes," I clarify, nervous now. "Do you actually read them, or... just collect them?" His eyes hold mine. There's no teasing in them. No cold, hard CEO mask. "I read them," he says. »»-------¤-------«« Word Count: 26, 074
