Levi Howard is a senior wide receiver with a reputation built on discipline, distance, and control. He knows who Genevieve Owen is-the twin sister of his quarterback and someone who has always been off-limits. Other than quick hellos at parties or games, he doesn't really know her. And he's never tried to. Genevieve Owen is a fashion design senior with an eye for detail and a confidence shaped by love and stability. Raised in a warm, close-knit family, she believes in loyalty, second chances, and showing up for the people you care about. She knows Levi as her brother's teammate and friend: popular, talented and quietly mysterious. Unlike most football players, he doesn't sleep around much-which only fuels the whispers she's heard in passing halls. Hot. Untouchable. Just impressions. Nothing more. They come from opposite worlds. Genevieve's family is everything to her-a constant source of support, comfort, and grounding. Levi comes from a wealthy but broken home, where love was replaced with distance and expectations. For him, family isn't something you're born into-it's something you earn. His football team is the only family he ever knew. They're strangers sharing the same campus-until senior year places them in the same class. And then pairs them together for the entire semester. For Levi, Genevieve is a boundary he refuses to cross. For Genevieve, Levi is a mystery she can't quite figure out-and she's always loved a challenge. It isn't love at first sight. It's restraint and curiosity. Warmth colliding with walls built for survival. Conversations that begin professionally and slowly become personal. A connection that builds quietly, deliberately, and dangerously.

Every morning, Serenity shows up to the office before anyone else - including Ezra Langford, her infamously cold, calculating, and annoyingly attractive boss. She brings him coffee, not because he asks, but because she wants to - always with a handwritten quote on the cup, something cheesy, optimistic, and completely not his style. Or so she thinks. Because while Ezra never says thank you, never even cracks a smile... he's kept every single cup lid with her notes. Hidden in the bottom drawer of his desk, they're the only bright spot in his otherwise grayscale life. But when Serenity's warmth starts to get under his skin - and into his heart - he'll have to decide if he's brave enough to step out of hiding and tell her the truth: She's not just his coffee girl. She's the only reason he still believes in good things. »»-------¤-------«« "So, uh... any regrets on the merger yet?" "Only that Chase ordered shrimp from that place on 8th again." I laugh, too hard and too quickly. "You didn't like it?" "It tastes like regret." I grin. "That's what he said about your budgeting spreadsheet." Ezra's mouth twitches. Not a smile, not really. But close. I should say something professional. Something normal. Instead- "Do you really read them?" I ask softly. He looks up. "The quotes," I clarify, nervous now. "Do you actually read them, or... just collect them?" His eyes hold mine. There's no teasing in them. No cold, hard CEO mask. "I read them," he says. »»-------¤-------«« Word Count: 26, 074

In the football-obsessed town of Redfield, Texas, there are two things everyone agrees on: 1. Bennett Walker is the best quarterback the town has ever seen. 2. His breakup with his perfect, picture-ready girlfriend? A scandal. Because when Bennett's ex-head cheerleader, queen of the sidelines, and very much not over him-starts showing up to every game with someone new on her arm, the entire town is suddenly picking sides. Enter Margaret Mayne. New girl. Blonde. Talks to everyone. Knows the lunch lady's birthday by day three and convinces half the school to sit together like one big chaotic family. She joins cheer and dance, instantly becoming everyone's favorite person-and the one person who doesn't treat Bennett like he's untouchable. So when Bennett, slightly desperate and very much tired of watching his ex play games, jokingly asks Margaret to be his fake girlfriend for a few weeks... She says yes. What's real and what's fake?

Jane Caughill: Not a nobody, definitely not a somebody. From a young age Jane knew she was different. She could tell you how many boats were on Lake Mead or a random fact about giraffes if she wanted to. But the one question she can't answer is what she's going to do after college. Being undeniably smart had its pros: an early graduation and a bright future in the medical field. Though, it also had its cons: the constant nagging and reliance everybody had on her. But no matter what, she always found herself helping them. Here's the plan so far: graduate, land a high-paying job in the medical field, live a happy life, the end. But ever since Jane had stepped into that bakery back home as a child, she'd been hooked on the craft. But she's strapped for cash and the pre-med track sounds a whole lot more financially promising. All she needed to do for the next 3 years was keep her head down and work off her pending college loans. The last thing she thought she'd be doing was tutoring some jock. • • • • • • • • Aiden Parker: Definitely not a nobody, and most definitely a somebody. As a three year starter for one of the most prolific college hockey teams in the country he has it all going for him. The looks, the talent, the charm. But when it comes to the classroom he's quite literally failing. With the team nearing playoffs and a sweet chance at the title, Aiden needs to find a way to boost his grades or risk riding the bench. What he wasn't expecting was to be tutored by some chick who could give Einstein a run for his money. She could be a bit shy at times, a bit lost in her thoughts too, but she's exactly what he needs to keep his spot on the team. The two of them strike a deal: she tutors him, he pays her, and that's that. Developing feelings wasn't a part of the deal. But as his feelings fail to dissipate, he begins to realize that maybe winning a championship won't be the sweetest victory after all. Winning the girl is.

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights.
