So how do you meet a killer, or in my case, a serial killer? You would think that I would meet him in a darkened alleyway, or perhaps on a hike through the forest as I unwillingly stumbled upon his bloody dumping grounds. That would make for an adrenaline-filled start to our story, our dance of death, but that's not how it happened at all. No, I met my killer where a lot of people meet these days. And no it wasn't on tinder or with any of those other damned dating apps. He wasn't that kind of serial killer. No, I met him at the local grocery store, I met him at my place of work. Just my luck right? Some would call it destiny, but in all honesty it was all just a throw of a dice, and a late night shift at work that needed to be filled. Warning: This twisted story is not intended for a younger audience. It will contain violence, sex, foul language, death, mind games, and so on. Stop reading if you are easily triggered by such things.

"I want you." he said voicing his thoughts. She looked at him innocently. "I'm here." she answered confused. Her innocence only fueled his desire. He took threatening steps to her as she stepped backed until her back hit the wall. With him so close to her she felt his heat and minty breathe on her face. She saw his grey eyes darkened when she bit her lips nervously. "Don't do that, you're making it much harder for me." he voiced huskily from trying to hold to his restraint. "Don't do what?" she asked, her voice trembling from his nearness. With that statement his control snapped, before she knew his intentions his lips meet hers. Since she was born, Iris has never been outside her house because of the warnings her deranged mother told her about dark shadows and silent whispering among monsters. Not until her mother died. Ace was dark, cold, dangerous and everything people feared until he collided with an angel who melts his cold stone heart with her innocent green eyes and decided to take her and keep her for himself.

When Ana confronts her new neighbour after being kept up all night by his sex noises, she's mortified to discover he's none other than Freddie-the police officer who arrested her abusive ex-boyfriend last month. The pair interact only when necessary and do so with light-hearted insults and harmless pranks. But when a baby shows up on his doorstep with a note claiming to be his, Freddie suddenly needs his neighbour for more than just a casual flirt. They think their relationship is platonic, but when their attraction is no longer avoidable, they come up with one rule. Don't kiss. Everything else is up for grabs and if Ana can stick to that one rule, her heart will remain unbroken. She has no desire to fall in love and Freddie simply doesn't have time. They think it's the perfect agreement but when feelings intensify, it becomes clear their plan is failing. Secrets are unveiled. Hearts get broken. Love gets complicated.
