Thistlefern misses WindClan. after dying brutally in a battle with RiverClan after they accused his Clan of stealing fish, he arrives at StarClan and is reunited with his mother and father. But he misses his mate, Splashdew, and his former apprentice- now warrior- Fallowheart. and when he sees Splashdew is expecting his kits, it breaks his heart to see them grow up without a father. .... ~ no, this was NOT inspired by @POPPYTEA's fanfic, 'The Weight of Living'. this idea came into my head before The Weight of Living came out.
