Readers have said: "I find this novel most intriguing as a chronicle of our modern age. Much may be gleaned by studying past stumbles and missteps, that we may avoid repeating history's mistakes." - George Washington "What's the deal with this novel? I gotta tell ya, it was quite a story. Really made me think, you know?" - Jerry Seinfeld "The ending leaves unclear whether he has gained wisdom. I suppose we cannot expect profound personal growth in the span of a novel!" - Lizzie Bennet "Perchance this tale can serve as a caution for us [all]... For as quickly as dreams are conjured, they can turn to nightmares when born of thoughtless fancy." - Puck

It contains romance storylines but there are a lot of other kinds of relationships represented. Most of the characters in the series are queer, including the main character who is ace. The worldbuilding includes vampires, immortals, and magic, with my personal twist on the lore. There is definitely drama in the story but also a lot of fluff. *** TW : violence, grief, addiction. Goat sucker. Overgrown lizard. Monster. Miguel is all too familiar with the many names humans have for chupacabras. As a member of a struggling pack, he knows how unfair the world can be to his kind. Adapting to the culinary chaos soon becomes the least of Miguel's worries as he finds himself falling for Alejandro, an outspoken chef who treats him with more compassion than even his own kind. India wins the T20 World Cup! A new name is on everyone's lips: Arya Kondela--the twenty-two-year-old newcomer who hit the winning four. With not much to speak about his background, the media dubs him as cricket's new, mysterious hard-hitter. They couldn't be more wrong. He's not mysterious. Far from it. He's simple, boring and easy-going. But the world doesn't need to know that. When he's not on the field, messing up all his catches, he's at home playing Gin Rummy with his grandfather, drinking whiskey with his father, and letting Stevie the lab sleep on his back. His life has a tune to it and he isn't about to allow some misplaced luck and unwanted fame disrupt all his normalcy. It didn't matter if he never forgave his mother for leaving or if he barely knows his siblings or if he's still stuck on his first love. Problems are made to exist under the rug. But life has a way of throwing curveballs, and sometimes it comes in the form of violin-wielding maestros, rash decisions on roads, and impromptu trips to the Middle East. Times are changing and all Arya can do is buckle up. Life is just getting started.

An old curse, a green-haired info dumping tsundere, small town legends, and actual lesbians in Michigan (Real!) are things I never thought I'd run into transferring to an all-girls boarding school for my senior year but, here I am. ***** Hey, I'm Jocelyn. Just Jocelyn. I'm an 18-year-old with a sarcastic/pessimistic sense of humor (according to my friend Marianne). I'm a lesbian, model-turned-writer who decided to write her first story about herself. Yes I know how vain that sounds and I know how boring biographies can be (thanks Ms Emery) but don't worry enough happened my senior year to call this a story. A story where my goal of finishing high school is sort of thrown to the side as I deal with a "curse" that 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 started sometime in the 70's and revolves around being blonde? Dumb curses aren't the only thing I'm burdened with at this school since I also have to make sure my friends don't secretly hate me, attend to that that green haired info dumping tsundere who I may or may not have feelings for and attend to an embarrassing ex who I may or may not still have feelings for. Stories have genres so let's see if I had to give my senior year a genre it would be a...coming of age rom-com maybe? Miss Author just nodded her head so I guess we'll go with that. So yeah that's the blurb. Hope you enjoy my story! (Miss Author told me to write that last line ughhh) ☆ story status - completed ☆ completed on may, 20th 2023 ~ final revision date - september, 9th 2023 ☆ highest rankings - #16 in shoujo #68 in lightnovel #33 in girlslove ☆ Previously known as - I'm Popular (or at least i used to be) Vol. 1 ☆ 1-2 illustrations in every chapter :)
