When Harrys first Halloween came, she had the feeling to leave her house. so with Harry and a small bag, she left. She wanted James to come, but he refused. Voldemort attacked the cottage 10 minutes later. Lily found shelter at Potter Manor and quickly drew a rune to save her and Harry in case danger came. Voldemort arrived and struck Lily down...or so he thought. (He only knocked her unconscious) Voldemort tried to attack Harry leaving him with a scar, the rune had activated, saving Lily, and attacking the intruder.
