Stiles Stilinski is the emissary for a small pack of four. During a trip to Ireland, he touches a monument that sends him back to the eighteen century where he suddenly finds himself mated to an Alpha by the name of Derek Hale. Will these two fall in love? Or will Stiles do whatever it takes to get back to his own time?

Derek Hale keeps to himself mostly. After the Hale fire killed most of his family, he withdrew from most social groups. He lived with his siblings, who had evaded the fire, the oldest two raising the younger four. But when Laura and Damon are out of town on alpha business, trouble stirs throwing Derek head first into a mess he can't seem to get out of. Along the way he meets an odd pair, one of which catches his eye, despite his best efforts. Will he escape the tragedy he's now mixed in or will he suffer well?

Flattery. Derek's life is full of it. Fake smiles, fake compliments, fake people. It's exhausting. Desperate for a night away from the high expectations and rigid life of royalty, Derek escapes to a small tavern where he meets a sweet, attractive, genuine man who only gives him the name "Mischief". He has Derek swooning by the end of the night, and Derek doesn't swoon. Their night together, the first and only real connection Derek has had in years, if not his whole life, ends too soon, and he must return to his responsibilities. Stiles isn't ready to give up on the mysterious, handsome "Samuel" that he met in the tavern, convinced they have a connection. He finds himself risking family secrets and even the peace of his own kingdom just to keep that connection even when it seems impossible. As circumstances force them together despite betrayal and aching hearts on both sides, Derek must fight both his heart and Stiles while Stiles struggles to prove to Derek that everything between them is real.

Months after the nogitsune, Stiles starts to see his own face around town. He dismisses it as PTSD. That is, until Lydia starts having a feeling that Stiles is going to die. As the pack scramble to find out what is going on, Stiles is forced to face a ghost from a past he didn't know he had and a future that seems to threaten his place in the pack.

It's been three months since Derek left Beacon Hills. He didn't say bye to anyone. He left his pack without an alpha. Then all of a sudden he's back, but he seems out of character. Stiles automatically assumes he's been cursed, that is until he finds out that he isn't Derek at all, but his twin brother, Gage. Gage is nothing like his brother and he falls in with the pack perfectly and he's an alpha. Stiles and Gage become good friends. Then one day, Derek does come back and Gage steps down as alpha. Stiles is pissed. He and Derek never got along. Derek was rude, harsh, snappy, bossy, forceful, all the things you could hate in a guy. Now he's forced to answer to Derek, who thinks he's king. Stiles is sick of it and decides it's time Derek was put in check. #COWAwards2018

When Derek gets a call that Stiles has been found unconscious in the woods, he rushes to the hospital only to find the man he loves more than anything doesn't remember who he is. What's worse is it seems to have been an attack, one Derek could have prevented if only he'd listened to Stiles. Started as a one shot that got a bit carried away.

When Derek's twin brother moves back to Beacon Hills the pack is shocked. They didn't know Derek had a brother much less a twin. Gage immediately takes an interest in Stiles and it starts to cause problems. Derek and Stiles already bicker and argue but now that Gage is home Derek is snappier than usual. Thing can't get any more tense or so Derek thinks. When an unfortunate event puts Stiles in danger Derek blames himself and shuts Stiles out completely, allowing room for Derek's twin brother.

When a triskelion appears on Stiles' skin one day, he's perplexed to find out that it means he's destined to be an emissary, but not just any emissary, the emissary of the alpha who's mark he bears, Derek Hale. The only problem is, he hardly knows the guy and doesn't trust him. Stiles keeps the mark a secret, hoping to prevent the inevitable. Meanwhile Derek is fighting a battle he can't hope to win and finds himself being drawn to the spastic human that reminds him too much of a past he'd rather forget.
