A virus that scientists have been trying to contain broke out and is passed on by biting or any part of the infected entering the eyes and mouth!! Please stay safe-" The news on the TV yelled interrupting them. Static made the report cut short. "What's going on?" Shuichi asked walking over to the window. I moved my arms around his arm hugging him tightly. "I don't know..." Started- 23rd February 2020

The small feet of the new generation would run across the face of the planet's floor freely. Until the gates of an air crushing society captured the will of every living being. Dragging them into cages called their home, being attached with robots to aide them in simple life actions. The future generation fizzled into a broken cry that used to be a beautiful song. Now, five years later, Shuichi Saihara struggles to grasp his will to live under the suppressive ways of the new world. The cookie-cutter nation engulfed his hope. Now, the only relief that greats him is in his dreams. Where his childhood memories whisper secrets of wishing for freedom and innocence to run as loose as a river. He feels on the verge of mental collapse until he meets a boy to spark a fight in him. And perhaps a love, to match his good-willed heart of deliverance and dedication.

Kokichi Ouma is a victim of this rare disease called; Hanahaki. Even if the flowers are beautiful, it makes him suffocate. Each passing month, weeks and now even days, his health deteriorates. Once Kokichi laid eyes on a particular detective, he fell hard. It physically hurts him seeing his crush fall for someone else.
