A series of one-shot Vinira fics based on my multi-chapter fic, "Here to Help". Can be read as a stand-alone but does have spoilers if you plan on reading the other fic.

Sitting on the floor of his father's office, the flower in his hands void of the life that had been flowing through it minutes ago, Edric makes a choice. In which Edric and Emira pick their track. - Locked Out-related, but can be read separately. I feel like it's less sad if you read it in the context of that fic, though. With the Festival of Fights back in Bonesborough, Eda and Raine reminisce about their first time going to the event together-and more specifically, the different ways in which they tried to impress each other. Or: Luz finally learns the story of how Raine and Eda first became a couple. (Well, sort of.) - Story is told in the style of Them's The Breaks, Kid-so it starts with a scene in present tense, the majority of it is a flashback and then it cuts back to the current time. Focus is Raeda, but there's minor focus on the relationship between the Clawthorne sisters and some Lumity bits.

Things hadn't always been like this. They had actually been pretty close once, back when they'd been little. Faded memories of offering a baby her favorite toy and excitedly chatting with Amity before she was even capable of answering, of pillow forts and sleepovers in each other's rooms, of late-night reading sessions when their parents believed them to be asleep, snuck back to the front of Emira's mind. Now, all that remained was the game their parents played. Their bond, carefully severed through years of intentional misconceptions, had been turned into just another puppet string. Amity comes home after Lost in Language, and her siblings are forced to confront the feelings they hurt. But they might not be the only ones. OR: The Blight children finally figure out what their parents' game is, and decide they're done playing it.

Emira Blight had a problem. It began with the fact that she'd not brought a jacket to the date. And, well, Em wouldn't be Em if she could just give in and admit to her girlfriend that she was cold. Nope. Not happening. Emira Blight was willing to do a lot of things, but admitting she was cold after Viney had told her to bring a jacket was not one of them.

"Mittens, you look horrible..." "Thanks," Amity shot back, but her voice was too weak for it to actually sound sassy. She looked like she was on the verge of tears. "I overslept. I'm going to be late..." Amity looked so unbearably guilty. "You're not seriously considering going to school today!" Emira protested. It wasn't as surprising as she wished it had been. This was just what Mittens was like, courtesy of the massive amount of pressure their parents put on all of them. Emira felt like her heart was being ripped out of her chest as she watched her little sister struggle to stand, still insisting on going to school because she didn't want to disappoint their parents. "Mittens, please go back to bed." "'M fine," Amity insisted, slowly removing her hand from the bed and taking a couple unsteady steps forward as if to prove her point. Then, just like that, she collapsed in the middle of the bedroom. -- Or: Amity comes down with a bad case of bone flu. Luckily(?) Ed and Em are there to help.

Emira took a moment to grasp that this was actually happening right now. A kid from her grade was willingly walking towards the ginormous beast, somehow convinced she'd be able to calm it down. 'Oh Titan. She's gonna die. She's gonna die and I'm gonna have to watch it.' In which the twins have a close encounter with an escaped griffin at Hexside, and Emira meets what must be the bravest girl in the entire school. - Locked Out-related, but can be read separately.
