First love is hard enough. It's new and exciting and absolutely terrifying and maybe even unrequited. When it's difficult for Skyler to move on from her silly little crush, she just has to take a leap of faith... at least that's what she was advised. All that's easy to say, but how hard is it to actually confess your feelings, spell it out and put your heart on the line? Meet Skyler and experience this struggle with her. *************** "What's the worst a confession could lead to?" Skylar thought when she decided to approach her long time crush, everything that followed was absolutely unexpected and totally hilarious... Only, maybe it's not so funny for Skyler. Ayden Smith is a lone wolf, or so she thought. He didn't exactly go out of his way to make friends and was a little too self-sufficient for his own good. Is it even possible he might return her feelings, seems unlikely... but when their paths intertwine, and things get out of hand, what could happen over the course of a summer...? Other than a tonne of embarrassing things that is... **************** If you are in the mood for a sweet heartwarming summer romance with not too much drama, this is the one for you. Note: This story could lead to a lot of second-hand embarrassment, uncontrollable smiling and loud obnoxious laughter. Proceed with caution⚠ *************** Thank you blackwidow999 for the book cover.

If there is one thing tech genius Kenneth Jones knows, it's how to make a computer yield to his desires-from turning it on, to making the keyboard hum beneath his touch. But when it comes to women? He's going to need a savvy, sex advice coach to hack his love life. Accountant Reese Wallace can calculate a return on investment faster than brewing coffee, but that's just her day job. After hours, she moonlights as a relationship blogger, promoting love, sex and happiness. The moment geeky Kenneth strides into her life, she's dying to get her hands on him. Strictly as her client, of course. Brains might be sexy as hell, but Kenneth's pocket protector and corduroy pants must come off. Once they do, though, Reese is in trouble. She's about to discover that it's not the amount of experience in bed that counts, but the size of the...heart that goes with it.

| Completed | "I've never been more certain of anything in my life, Kitten. You...were made for me." Elijah Wright, the Duke of Kent, grew up learning all about duty, responsibility, and honor. When his father died, it was time for him to step up and finally uphold the family title. First thing his mother wanted was simple: an arranged marriage. As the Christmas wedding was approaching, he got more uncomfortable with marrying Lady Elizabeth Coleman, who was a complete stranger to him. With the help of his best friend, Will, Elijah flees his home, hoping to temporarily escape his forced reality. Even though he plans on following through with the wedding, everything is called into question when he rescues a fiery redhead from highwaymen. AMBY AWARDS TOP PICK 2024❤️ I can only see half of his face, reflected in the mirror at the front of the bus, and part of that is obscured by the peak of the black company-branded cap he's wearing. But I can see enough to glean that there's a strong jaw covered in scruff. A wide mouth that looks like it would be prone to smiling. He's wearing glasses with trendy light tortoiseshell frames, and I can't quite discern the colour of his eyes from my position . . . but some weird intuition is telling me that they'll be hazel, and I wonder when my brain is going to catch up. Because I *know* him, don't I? I'm almost certain of it. And he seems to know me, too. Or at least he thinks he does. The way he's glancing over at me lets me in on that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mirren Shepherd has *many* pet peeves. Top of the list, though? Staycations . . . And surprises. So when her girls' trip abroad is cancelled at the last minute and she finds herself roped into a minibus tour of Northern Scotland instead, she isn't remotely happy. And when she finds out who their guide is . . . It's yet another reason for her to dislike surprises. Because Owen Sullivan wasn't so much the one who got away . . . He was the one who just didn't return. And, after she finally got over him, she never expected to see him again. Mirren would prefer to leave the past in the past, but Owen is determined to try to right his wrongs. Can she trust him? Can she trust *herself*? Maybe, just maybe, this surprise - and staycation - won't be as bad as Mirren thinks . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Skye Templeton is sick of living in a small village in the Scottish Highlands where everyone knows every single little thing about her. She's tired of her dead-end "situationship". She desperately needs to escape . . . So when a chance encounter opens her eyes to the possibility of a different life, she decides it's time to shake things up a bit. Moving to Glasgow on a whim probably isn't her smartest idea, but Skye is determined to make the most of her new life. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work out the way you planned . . . Especially if you didn't really have a plan in the first place! ~~~~~~~~ I initially started this story with the intention of entering it into the Open Novella Contest this year - I've since found out that it wouldn't qualify but I'm still using one of the prompts all the same! The prompt I'm using is: Prompt 45- "Keep your happily ever after; it ain't mine." And, much like Skye, I really don't have a plan for it yet, so let's just see what unfolds! ;-)

AMBY AWARDS TOP PICK 2023 ❤️ "You think I can't act like I'm into you?" He asks in a whisper. He reaches out, and strokes a finger down my cheek, and I feel myself shiver at the touch. "You think I can't convince everyone that I have feelings for you?" His eyes are darker than ever, and any sign of a smile has now vanished. The only word I can think right now to describe him is "smouldering". I have searched many great romance novels (and even more sub-standard ones), and I am yet to find a better synonym for that particular word. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Abigail Watson has always played by the rules. She also constantly strives to be the best at everything she does. So when her boyfriend Declan decides to turn their temporary break into a permanent break-up, she starts to seriously doubt her girlfriend skills. Her new flatmate Ric tells Abby she's not the problem, but how can she believe *him* when he's one of the most annoying guys she's ever encountered? However, when she needs a fake boyfriend to save face in front of Declan, Ric might just be the only man she can turn to . . . Practice Makes Perfect offers you some forced proximity, enemies to lovers, a dash of fake dating, pub quizzes, flatmate frustrations . . . And - of course - an annoying ex, because doesn't everyone have at least one of those??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cover by @LNRoberts1 ❤️

Addie May knows loss like no one else and when she has nothing left for her in Beverly Hills, she flees to Texas where she meets Zac Ryan, the one man who might change it all. But Texas holds more than just the potential for romance. It holds part of her past, a new beginning and perhaps, it might just be meant for her. "Can I offer you something to wear to bed?" His tone was low and quiet. "A t-shirt?" "That would be great actually," I said, steadying my uneven breath. His eyes dropped to my shoulder where the strap of my dress had fallen again. I felt his fingertips on my skin as he lifted it and slid it back into place. "No problem," he murmured, his lips barely parting to let the words out. "Wouldn't want to wrinkle this beautiful dress." ©️
