Vincent has been fired from at least ten jobs and is in desperate need of money. Luckily he scored a position at a famous bistro. Though shortly after he is hired he starts to notice he finds him oddly charming. But Vincent is dating Manon surely he only likes women right?

Vincent has always been a man of faith. But after several threats began to grow more violent did he become desperate. When a summoning goes wrong he ends up in an interesting endeavor with a demon.

Rody gets invited to a fancy dinner party by one of his acquaintances, he walks through the large house until he saw those dark cold familiar eyes from someone he once knew. "Isn't he supposed to be dead?" CONTAINS: Rody X Vince Fanon (ish) !NOT MY CHARCTERS!

What if Manon had soundly broken up with Rody and didn't rebound with Vince? Would interest have begun to develop between the two organically rather than Rody forcing himself through work for Manon while Vincent's interest in him was tempered by his desire to learn the secret to reacquiring taste? Without the dark undercurrents and maybe with a little bit of empathy, could things be different for them? Vincent had his sweet moments afterall. And Rody could be kinder and more curious when Manon wasn't involved. Neither of them are by any means completely stable and faultless, but maybe a solid foundation could have made all the difference. -This story will contain light violence and swearing as Vincent is a bit of a jerk at times. Future chapters won't contain NSFW, though it will be implied. Just be aware that I intend for this to be a slow-ish burn just because I don't want to rush it. Mostly ill be focusing on fluff and romance because these two deserve that. Due to work and just life in general, updates may be off and on but the plan is to update every Monday! "Chasing petty romances isn't the end-all be-all in life." Vincent was not a man who could easily be swindled with anything, especially not love. Love is not something he wishes to bother with. He already had everything he could've wanted. Fame as a chef, a world-renowned restaurant of his own, and a nice apartment on top of said restaurant. What more could he ask for? Well, it was possibly the attention of the stupid little brunet waiter that worked for him, and he didn't even know it yet. (Dead Plate, but what if Vincent was normal and didn't have psychopathic tendencies)

What if in ending 1 of DeadPlate, Manon was actually alive? What if she purposefully ignored Rody's calls? What happened after Rody called her? This is an slow-burn story where Manon didn't actually die and lives as she proceeds to moved on from the situation she had with Rody, and where Vincent wouldn't be so psychotic. Rody's a wreck as he goes through series of negative emotions that fills his head, in which Vincent would help him, even if didn't like displaying vulnerability around anyone at all. Will Rody and Vincent become best friends? Enemies? Or lovers? -This is my first time making a story that isn't a oneshot, and I'm actually going to make this into a short series of mentally unstable Rody Lamoree and a less psychotic Vincent Charbonneau. This will probably be my practice story to help myself and get better in writing and in grammar. -Feel free to give any suggestions if you'd like me to add anything to the story!
