The "women of Lion & Sun" is the story of two Iranian families prior and post revolution of Iran and their respective bonds, love, success, fame, heartbreaks and failures. As the story unfolds what the Iranian traditional families went through while the country modernized, you have the opportunity to live through lives of one of the most complex societies in Middle East which the media has never done justice towards and to wonder, laugh and cry. Please join me during this exciting journey as on weekly basis I unfold a chapter of this story. Though, the story is a fiction, it is inspired by lives of many Iranian families and individuals and their respective achievements & struggles as a result of societal and political circumstance. I still do not know how many chapters will cover each character's life journey, but we will discover so as we go forward. I dedicate the "women of Lion & Sun" to my mother, Solmaz, who was my main inspiration in telling the world of our tales and struggles as she herself is one of those women. I will love you forever and thank you for being my rock.
