After about 5 years, Astrid returns to her place of education to find that Heather had taken her rank as top girl and no one recognized her. Well, she had changed quite a bit during her time away. 2 years later, everyone remembers her, but no matter how much they try to get her to join her old group, she remains the loner she grew to be. Then, Hiccup comes back. But he's not the dork he was when he was ten. He's got bulk, he's got looks, he's got that smirk. He's Hiccup Horrendous 'Playboy' Haddock III. Hiccup doesn't remember her as the girl he once had feelings for. To him, she's no more than a girl who came to his old school two years ago and he has to "help" her. Along his way of breaking her down, he finds stuff out that he never knew about her, even when she was his only interest. Eventually Hiccup is told that the Astrid he made out with and got kicked in the spot by is the one he once had a crush on. When Hiccup gets in a jam, he needs Astrid to step in and pretend to be his girlfriend.
