In a time long after the sixth mass extinction in which 99% of the world's population was wiped out, two worlds were divided by a large wall. Each side completely unaware of one another. Constant routines drown out the sanity of the members residing on each side of the towering structure, but all that seems to change on the night of Dream's birthday when he hears a voice on the other side. Toxic ex's, bully's, mental illness, and dealing with your emotions and other people's judgment, is enough to ruin your high school years and get you worrying about the future at such a young age. Clay is one of the bully's that physically and mentally beat George up. He had been bullying him for years it was the same, it had always been. But one day on the first day of school Clay saw George differently. But why? Figuring out who you are, finding out what you like, who you like, finding real friends and being someone's main supporter is some of the things Clay delt with after starting to see George differently, but he did it willingly. He even willingly changed himself. He did all of this for the person he never in a million years thought he would fall for, but God they were the person he fell for the hardest. George is slowly breaking apart from the inside out. Every inconvenience leads him further away from himself, and he's not really sure if he can go back to who he was before. So when a party goes awry, George finds himself laying in the middle of the road, wanting nothing more than to no longer exist. It almost happens. 8 inches separating him from death. Dumb decisions lead to dumb actions that lead to irreparable damage. And George really screwed himself over with one really bad, untimely decision. Dream seems to be the only one to have any idea of how George is feeling. and he seems to be the only one noticing how he's breaking apart.
