Briella got better but then Taylor and Travis adopted a 3 year old girl, Iris, who they spend all of their time with. Iris gets really bad anxiety due to her old abusive home. (Briella was abused at her old home but never told Taylor and Travis because she didn't want them to worry). Briella starts to get ignored more and more often until Briella starts to hurt herself more and more, and starve herself. Taylor realizes and Briella continues to ignore her and distance herself more and more, thinking that Taylor and Travis would be happier without her.
