The easily swayed young man had vowed to save himself, his body and his virtue, and make it count for that one special someone. Because that is what sex should be, not sex but to make love, to exchange something precious with the one you trust most. With the passage of time, he discovered that what was once a lovely and endearing sentiment had become a stumbling block for any future relationship. Previous partners ended their relationship with Kaveh when he disclosed that he was saving himself until he was certain he had met the one. The reason for their split, whether fabricated to avoid looking superficial or real hurt that they did not yet qualify, doesn't really matter now.
