عاش حياته السابقة يتيمًا، جائعًا، ومات وحيدًا تحت عجلات الشاحنات. لكنه استيقظ في جسد "الأمير أليستر" صاحب العشر سنوات؛ الطفل الأكثر شرًا وتنمرًا في الإمبراطورية، والابن المنبوذ الذي يكرهه والده وإخوته. قرر البطل التخلي عن الشر تمامًا، فكل ما يهمه الآن هو الاستمتاع بطفولته، وتذوق الحلوى الفاخرة التي حُرِم منها طوال حياته! لكن تحوله المفاجئ إلى طفل لطيف، مؤدب، وتدمع عيناه خوفاً من أن يكرهه أحد، صدم العائلة الإمبراطورية القاسية. الأمير الذي كان يبكي طلبًا للسلطة، أصبح يبتسم برائحة الفراولة وكعك الشوكولاتة! فجأة، تحول كره العائلة إلى هوس مرعب.. الإمبراطور يهدد بقطع رأس من يرفض طلبات ابنه، والإخوة الطغاة يتنافسون على شراء أمهر صانعي الحلوى في العالم فقط لرؤية ابتسامته. وسط هذا الحب الخانق، يرتجف الأمير الصغير خوفًا: "ماذا لو اكتشفوا أنني لست ابنهم الحقيقي وحرموني من هذا الدفء؟"

Luffy in this story is smart person. In this story, he still eats the devil fruit, and he will learn about Haki earlier. Shanks saw potential in him, so he tells Luffy what he needs to know about the sea. Shanks still gave him the hat and Benn Beckman gave him a book.
