Title: The Forsaken Consort
Three years ago, the cold and calculating Duke Li Zhen was forced to marry Princess Ruoyu. On their wedding night, Li Zhen abandoned his new bride in public and left for the battlefield overnight. Now, victorious and more powerful than ever, he returns-only to be greeted with a divorce letter. Ruoyu, her gaze calm and her voice colder than ice, states only one word: "Divorce."
Li Zhen remains silent. Instead of answering, he pulls her into his embrace, his lips sealing any further argument.
Ruoyu: "What do you think you're doing?"
Li Zhen: "Making sure you know what you're walking away from."
The imperial court has long gossiped about their loveless marriage, with fresh rumors emerging of the Duke meeting a mysterious beauty in a secluded hot spring villa. The princess appears increasingly frail, fueling speculation that their divorce is inevitable.
That is, until one fateful night when the ministers report to the Duke behind a screen, only for a flushed, drunken Ruoyu to stumble out of his inner chamber. She leans against him, her voice laced with complaint:
"I'm never going to a hot spring with you again. Every time we do, you-"
"Enough," Li Zhen interrupts, covering her mouth with a kiss.
The ministers, wide-eyed, wisely make a swift exit.
Later that night, behind closed doors, Li Zhen presses Ruoyu against the door, his voice a low murmur:
"Open your mouth."
