It comes at the cost of trying (and failing) to manage his mental health considering his OCD has come back and reared its ugly head. And like Beckett, he also has his fair share of hardships like a famous family that he can never please, an unsupportive team, and his slowly dwindling passion for hockey. With two broken people, that makes for one unconventional relationship-a messy arrangement that leaves their severed patterns and scrambled selves vulnerable to being adored by the other. You could even argue that their growing feelings toward one another causes a wrench in their plans.
