Ayala and her brother Blake Waterwood are both dragon slayers but are different from the others they have an eye that can copy any wizards magic it doesn't matter what level it is. Their real parents died after they were 9 years old because they got sick. So the shadow dragon Laila took them and taught them dragon slayer magic but on 777 the dragon just disappeared and couldn't be found. So Ayala and her brother set off to find their dragon but couldn't find her so gave up. They went to town their fate changed a rich couple found them and it was love at fist sight so they adopted them. After a couple years living there the Waterwoods were assassinated by one of the dark guilds. So Ayala and her brother went to search for the guild named Fairy Tail
