The moon was full and shown down as claws raked down the walls of her prison. The small infant fought to be released from the cramped area and to be freed into the world. Her claws broke a piece of shell off. Her first sign of success. The small wings spread wide as she forced into the weakened wall before her. A loud boom echoed outwards from the outside world catching her attention. Her eyes remained closed but her ears moved to listen. Nothing came after the boom which she assumed to be a sign of safety. Her body flung forward and the wall collapsed freeing her small form. The body of the infant fell onto the soft nest. Shouting and running set the small dragon into a frenzy. Even without the understanding of life yet the infant still knew by instinct there was approaching danger. Her body flung onto the egg beside her as she clawed to save her kin. It was the day they where to hatch together and serve each other. Her small claws where useless against the hard shell. She continued to fight. Suddenly jet black scales shot in front of her and snatched her from the ground. The fellow dragon ran off as the infant watched the egg taken from the nest by humans. A slow gentle rage filled the infant as her kin was stripped from it's home.
