Oppure, un capitano dagli occhi tempestosi e le labbra corrucciate che, per un maleficio, non può innamorarsi: più il sentimento si infila nelle sue vene e nel suo cuore, più starà male. Nessuno sa se c'è una cura, solo i suoi veri amici sanno come è diventato, tra i suoi tanti nomi, l'Avvelenato. E Louis, ovviamente, antidoto e cura, miracolo e maledizione.

Louis and Harry have been best friends since childhood and lovers since they were 15. They can't imagine their lives without each other and yet that's exactly what they both have to cope with when Harry is allowed to do a year's internship abroad. Both initially believe they can manage it but everything suddenly crumbles and neither of them knows how to hold on to the other. While Harry suddenly has a rising career ahead of him, Louis slips into an abusive relationship after their break up without realising it. But what happens when Harry comes back and stands in front of Louis again after years of separation? And how do you deal with it when you still love the other person as much as you did from the beginning?

Louis is homeless and the only thing he has left is his loyal dog Clifford, who makes life on the streets a little easier for him. Harry, on the other hand, is a lawyer who is struggling with his own problems. When one evening Louis stands in front of Harry with Cliff in his arms and begs for help, two worlds suddenly collide. ⋯𖥸⋯ "Insolent scum. The dog is cute, but I can't say the same about you," he hears the man murmur, who is already walking away. Louis huffs annoyed and he ignores how his words bring back memories in him, but instead of continuing to care about the arrogant man, he prefers to cuddle the dog, his loyal soul who doesn't care how they live and shows him every day what is important. Love and loyalty. And if Louis doesn't find it in a human, then in his wooly companion on four paws.

He brings out the beautiful in them and treats them kindly. But then he suddenly gets the job of photographing Harry Styles for the next few months. Not only that the two constantly get into fights, but suddenly Louis has to question his true self. Because the star makes him doubt his sexuality.

Louis is a stressed-out editor who is in desperate need of the holiday with his family in the cute little snowy town of Winterhollow. And what he had always wished for but never thought possible suddenly becomes reality - he literally slips into his own cheesy Christmas novel and experiences first-hand what love at first sight feels like. Harry has everything he wanted for now; his own yoga studio in London and hardly any contact with his family. Yes, he's a bit lonely, but that's okay. It's better than having a new participant who disrupts the class with his swearing and brings down Harry's beautifully constructed self-image with his bum in those tight leggings. It's a hard road to self-acceptance and breaking free from the shackles of the past, but Louis is always by his side. Until Harry suddenly wants more and everything is once again on the brink of collapse.
