George is absolutely over the moon when he gets a chance to meet all of his online best friends. Especially because they decide to see the city together, for a month! But there's just one issue: He's never seen Dream's face before. And when he does, he's terrified he'll fall even further for him. Dream is excited and nervous to go on a trip with George. Thing is, most of his friends haven't seen his face. Will they think of him differently? More importantly, will he be able to tell George how he feels? Or will he forever live in the shadows? His parents are hopeless and don't know how to help him anymore while he games all day and skips school. George struggles with an eating disorder and seeks help on the wrong sites, meeting a coach who is "eighteen" years old. George trusts him and ends up sending him pictures of himself without anything on, not realising the terrible effects of this. His escape is to game as well, meeting an emotionless person who appears to have a soft spot for him. Will they be able to help each other? After George is kicked out from his home for being transgender, he looses hope in ever finding someone that would accept him for who he really is. George's only option was to move in with his homophobic grandparents and he only wishes to be called a boy however that apparently was too much to ask. In a last attempt to find happiness he attends a music class as he enjoys singing. He meets a boy, Clay, however will Clay be just like the others? Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school.
